Extremely rare Green Snakeskin that is about 3 inches in diameter.
The production of snakeskins was an experiment in the use vibrant colors for octopus fishing. Unfortunately, it was mainly a marketing experiment. In the final analysis, fishermen weren't convinced to pay more for the bright colors.
Snakeskins were sold in boxes of five with five different colors: red, orange, yellow blue, and green.
These unique octopus floats were produced in the 1960's by Hokuyo Glass Company in Japan.
