The big size is definitely a plus as 5 to 6-inch floats make a big impression when displayed with smaller floats beside them. This float also has an undocumented mark which is always exciting. Will another float turn up with the same mark someday? That's something to look forward to that gives the added dimension of future time. The extra hash is clearly part of the mark, which is stamped quite legibly, also a plus. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that a significant portion of the seal has broken off, probably due to actual use at sea or by knocking against hard rocks on the beach. I really don't mind damage due to fishery use or a hard sea journey, but until I know for sure that it wasn't simply dropped or damaged AFTER being collected I'll deduct half a star.
