This is a 'contemporary' float and was made in the 1950's by Hokuyo Glass Co. in Japan. It's still 60 years old, so it's not new by any means.
There's a pencil thin maker's mark of WP #2 'Kita' 北 or 'Double FF'.
This float measures 15 inches in circumference and 5 inches in diameter. It's made with heavy thick glass. The integrity of the float is very sound.
It's an unusual blue color; maybe blueish with a turquoise tint.
A truly beautiful glass ball.
