Here's kind of a generic 14 inch float. Everything is common about it.
Except ... the story of where I got it.
A picker found this float in a barn in Puyallup, Washington. He told me that it had purportedly been in that barn for decades.
The float itself was really dirty and covered with the thickest, heaviest netting I had ever seen. You could NOT see any glass whatsoever.
So, I took a chance ... I was hoping it might be something incredible ... a spindle, a blue swirl, or an exotic color.
Instead, it was a generic unmarked 14 inch in standard blue/green color. But it looked brand new. It was in near perfect condition ... no chips or scuffs.
Thankfully, this experience didn't dampen my risk taking nature. Three year later, I took a similar risk on an 18 inch float that had some really bad pictures. When I got the float and took the netting off it had a fantastic blue swirl!
