Very nice example of a Black Pumpkin.

You can see a very dark brown color if you back light this float.  But it's a 'no doubt about it' black pumpkin.

The glass has that mirror-like reflective quality that you like to see in black pumpkins.

It has a bit of a sunk seal but altogether the seal is quite good.

This float measures about 33 inches around at its widest so it's about 10 1/2 inches in diameter.

Excellent provenance have come from the ex-Bruce Gidoll collection, where it was 1 of the 8 black pumpkins in Bruce's collection.
