This is a 'Medium' sized Bubble Sausage.
It measures about 9 3/8 inches around whereas a regular bubble sausage is about 10 inches around. This float is 4 1/2 inches in length.
The float is clear in color with just a little pink tint, probably from being sun-turned.
Found in Northern Japan.
This float has excellent provenance having come from the ex-Col. Rich Richardson collection.
Free standing Spindle inside of a 2 1/2 inch float. The spindle runs from near the seal button to the base of the float.
The frequency of finding spindles in 2 inch size floats is even less common than in 3 inch and 4 inch floats.
This float has a very nice orange peel texturing to the surface of the glass.
Found on Hokkaido Island, Japan.

Blue Seal on a 5 inch float.
It's pretty rare to find a 5 inch float with a blue seal. From my experience, the most common size floats for blue seal are 2 inch. Next is probable 4 inch. Then 3 inch. Followed by 5 inch floats.
This float has a couple of small kiln stones and is quite heavy for its size.
This float has two maker's marks. One is WP #24 'Shi' シ. The other mark is WP #118 'Sa' サ.
This stamp seems to be somewhat different than WP #125 because the marks are far apart and appear to be separately applied rather than by one stamp.
This float is also larger than the typical 3 inch floats that are stamped with WP #125. It measures 13 1/4 inches in circumference or about 4 1/4 inches in diameter.
Found in Northern Japan.
This float has excellent provenance having come from the ex-Jerry Wightman collection.
