Extremely rare Green Snakeskin that is about 3 inches in diameter.
The production of snakeskins was an experiment in the use vibrant colors for octopus fishing. Unfortunately, it was mainly a marketing experiment. In the final analysis, fishermen weren't convinced to pay more for the bright colors.
Snakeskins were sold in boxes of five with five different colors: red, orange, yellow blue, and green.
These unique octopus floats were produced in the 1960's by Hokuyo Glass Company in Japan.
Teardrop shaped American float that's stamped with the mark "PAT. PEND.".
This float is about 22 inches in diameter and 12 5/8 inches in length.
Three-piece type of construction.

Undocumented mark that is similar to WP #299. In this mark there is an extra hash or line underneath the Ka カ symbol. WP #299 is 'Ka カ under a Roof' mark.

Beautiful twisting Spindle. This spindle is free standing and extends from the seal button to base of the float.
There is mostly complete stamp of WP #10 'Rivermouth' in the common triangular configuration.

This small standard Hokkaido roller is a very unusual lime green color.
There are signs of use including some barnacle remnants.

Authentic Hokkaido Micro Roller that measures 4 1/4 inches in length and about 1 1/2 inches wide.
This tiny roller is a nice forest green color.
It is unmarked as you'd expect from a micro roller.

This undocumented mark is the mirror image of WP #295.
There are two versions of this undocumented mark; a large version and a smaller version. This is the smaller version of the mark.
Beachcombed on Kunashir Island, Russia. Kunashir is one of the Kurile Islands located just north of Japan.
