About Us
Welcome collectors!
Welcome to the Inspired Collectors online platform.
We empower collectors and their communities to build very large virtual collections by crowd-sourcing their photos and knowledge.
Inspired Collectors is one of the best places you can go to share your photos, exchange knowledge, and tell stories about your collectibles with other people that are just as passionate about them as you are.
Together we will build one of the greatest virtual collections on Earth.
The Adventure
My father used to love to go beachcombing on the coast of Washington. As a child, I was amazed at the treasures he would bring home from these adventures. One of the most coveted items he would find on the beaches were Japanese glass balls.
When my father past away I inherited his collection of antique Japanese glass fishing floats. I loved those glass balls and I wanted to find more of them. So, like my father I began searching for them. But instead of going to the beaches on the Pacific Ocean like he did, I visited the shores of eBay.
As my collection grew larger, I built many new displays to showcase all the different types of items I had accumulated. I’ve gotten a lot of pleasure from showing my collection to folks; but I wanted to share these treasures with many more people. Especially, with like-minded people that are just as crazy and as passionate about these items as I am.
Then I had my 'Aha' moment ...
'Aha' Moment
I knew there were lots of other avid collectors (like me) that wanted to share their passion with the world.
It seemed to me that all we really needed was a single place to go, that was specifically built to showcase the items themselves. Since our collectibles are the real stars of our community, why not build a 'virtual' place where we can all go to display them?
So, I built that place ...
The Place
